Why now? Did RR presser weaken or strengthen USA position in summit

I think Trump would have had stronger hand with this info up his sleeve in mtg with Putin.
How could it put us in stronger position?
If not, why the need for Friday release.
Seems it only played to domestic STOP TRUMP narrative.

Timing is everything.
This an attempt to influence public opinion.
Thing is, we've seen this foot-stomping, teeth-gnashing, liberal outrage for two years now....they're not changing anyone's mind. The stage is set. The band's playing.
