Iirc, the law was passed in response to 2 or 3 police being killed while doing traffic stops. They were hit by motorists while standing on the shoulder.

It’s generally for any emergency vehicle which could mean fire truck, ambulance, or wrecker.

They do apply but that guy sitting on the shoulder changing a tire isn’t gonna chase the guy down that doesn’t move over.
Move over lawd as they apply to Law Enforcement is in place for the officer and the motorist there.
Also cops on the side of the road are way more common than you are having a dress code to attwnd

Because it's usually common courtesy, and safety, to move over when someone is stranded on the side the road, you don't need a law for it..
Sorry you need laws for common sense...
This is a retarded response as you are too dumb to realize how dumb other people are.

I'd argue that their attention is more divided than someone changing a tire or looking at their engine.
You have to be focused on anything BUT the road if you are chaning a tire or fixing an engine. Not the case with writing someone a ticket.

Writing a ticket to an unknown variable... aren't cops today a bit nervous of shite going sideways?
