So many of you attack constantly without knowledge of the facts. You're very partisan with your posts unwilling to listen to the other side. You attack the media in the same way the media attacks Trump, Obama, Bush, etc. What happen to an open discussion?

Anytime someone says "inb4 my stalker" I have to know the back story on your stalking of him. I mean you knew he was going to say you were stalking him so.

Because he's said it before. As if he's the only idiot I respond to. Case in point being this response.

It's a lame deflection for his own stupidity.

Generally what happens is someone posts a shitty post based on a headline from a biased source. They don't read the article much less the original source(s). Then their buddies on whatever side hey support jump on blindly supporting the false news. This place has become nearly intellectually bankrupt.

It's truly the trump effect. Two years ago there was actually knowledgeable discussions. Now not so much

Exactly. The same posters jump in and attack you with name calling and making untrue accusations They want you to leave becuase they don't agree with what you are saying. It's too difficult for them to have a discussion, hits their insecurities. They only want to be surrounded with like minded posters so they can attack and name call as a pack.

And there you have it, the word "stupid" you've been using since 1st grade. Does calling someone stupid when you don't agree with what they share, or in your case stalking my posts, make you feel big or Important? Do you know how to have an educated discussion by asking questions and sharing constructive thoughts?

When discussing politics in person with someone who disagrees with me, I like to ask, "Is there anything I could say that would change your opinion on this?" And people often say, "No." At that point I stop the discussion. The social science on changing someone's mind is pretty clear: if they're entrenched in their pov, arguing with them (no matter how many facts you may present) only causes them to become more defensive of and entrenched in their own beliefs. You can ask them questions about their beliefs, you can ask if their curious about why you believe what you believe, but you will not change a close-minded person's beliefs by berating them with facts. So don't waste your time arguing with them. Find open-minded people and focus your attention on them.

Unlike the media, we're not supposed to be professional or unbiased.

The problem comes in when people falsely claim objectivity in an attempt to act superior to other posters. *wink*

That's easy. Because if you try to engage in a fact based discussion that puts someone on the defensive, they just respond like idiots with

"fake news "

which will likely happen at least once in this thread.

Any fact-based discussion from the left (in my experience) devolves into a logical leap of faith -- jumping to conclusions, if you will -- for instance, "Russia interfering with the American election" so easily morphing into "Russia directly changed the vote tallies at American ballot boxes."

That is the very definition of emotional argument and "fake news."

You act as if "discussion" is what you really want.

Your whole schtick is the same thing every time: start some thread taking a passive/aggressive shot (which I'm sure YOU think is clever) at Republican/conservatives. Then, when you get annihilated in your own thread, you claim "independence" and try to backtrack.

I don't know if you're just a shitty troll, or a dumbass who thinks he's a lot more clever than he really is (I tend to lean toward the latter). But don't even try to pretend that legit discussion is what you're looking for. All you're after is the "gotcha". And you're not very good at even getting THAT.
