From the summer of 2009 to the spring of 2010 the Democrats had a super majority in the Senate, controlled the house, and had the Presidency. They could have passed any law they wanted.. Want the 90s AR ban back? Could have passed it.

They did nothing. The media loves to point at the Republicans that they won’t do anything and we should vote them out. But when Dems were in control they didn’t pass anything. The Dems also fricked a sure thing in getting a bump stock ban passed, couldn’t just ban the bumpstock, wanted to pass a full AR ban, that they knew was a non starter.

There's money in everyone's back pocket in Congress. They get paid to not regulate guns. It has nothing to do with party affiliation.

The same reason the Republicans won’t.

Yes, and Republicans healthcare plan was to raid Medicaid and hand it to the rich. The Republican's plan couldn't even be called healthcare. Obamacare, flawed and all, is infinitely superior to the sh*t Republicans tried to foist on this country.

The 2nd Amendment

Gun control doesn't mean doing away with or violating the second Amendment. The 2nd Amendment doesn't say you have a right to own an armory or military hardware. An assault weapons ban doesn't violate the 2nd Amendment. Neither does universal background checks, peer reviewed study of gun violence, or a database of illegal guns used in crimes.

They did, in 1993. That's why they were all voted out in 1994. Every politician knows it is a career killer for most districts.

What military hardware do you speak of? A semi automatic .223 / 5.56 with lead rounds?

Because that’s not what the military uses. I guess you could call a knife and maglite military hardware

What is an assault weapon?

Is there a "weapon" out there that I can't use to assault someone?

Do you think a person with a little practice couldn't take Joe Biden's double barrel shotgun and frick a movie theater up with the quickness?

Check out some amateur cowboy action shooting footage on YouTube and see just how fast someone can send lead down range even with old tech guns.

Just say what you really want. A full ban and confiscation of every weapon in the country.

It most certainly would.

If they had maybe Vegas shooter would have instead used the 50lbs of Tannerite he had in his trunk on that packed crowd.

50lb Tannerite explosion

Results wouldn’t have been much different, maybe worse.

Evil people are the problem, guns seem like the easiest route so they are the preferred choice here. People with the desire and will to kill en mass will kill en mass regardless of legality or availability of certain tools. Identification and intervention is the key to stopping it

Remember the 2016 truck attack in Nice, France? 87 dead 450 injured.
If guns were more accessible he probably unloads lead on the crowd instead. You don’t need a mass shooting for a mass murder.

LINK
Here’s a list of mass murders in 2017. Guns aren’t the leading cause, can’t outlaw vehicles, and I’m pretty sure bombs aren’t legal anywhere.

America has its evil people like everywhere else. Guns are the preferred method here but are easily replaceable
