You beat me to it. Cream-Tales of Brave Ulysses
quote:
"Tales Of Brave Ulysses"
You thought the leaden winter would bring you down forever
But you rode upon a steamer to the violence of the sun
And the colours of the sea bind your eyes with trembling mermaids
And you touch the distant beaches with tales of brave Ulysses
How his naked ears were tortured by the sirens sweetly singing
For the sparkling waves are calling you to kiss their white laced lips
And you see a girl's brown body dancing through the turquoise
And her footprints make you follow where the sky loves the sea
And when your fingers find her, she drowns you in her body Carving deep blue ripples in the tissues of your mind
The tiny purple fishes run laughing through your fingers
And you want to take her with you to the hard land of the winter
Her name is Aphrodite and she rides a crimson shell
And you know you cannot leave her for you touched the distant sands With tales of brave Ulysses, how his naked ears were tortured By the sirens sweetly singing
The tiny purple fishes run laughing through your fingers And you want to take her with you to the hard land of the winter

A fraud whose name is not Beto. A fraud named Bob who was always known as Bob until he moved to El Paso and decided to run for political office in a heavy Latino city. Bob is actual a Welsh-Irish man.
Seriously, not only is the dude a fake persona, he's a total spazz.

In a world of Cadens and Braxlees and Ashlynns, the fact that Ulysses is an actual name and not just a modern-day white trash invention puts it way ahead of the curve.
It also sets up this possible dialogue:
Guy: What’s your kid’s name?
Dad: Ulysses.
Guy: Why Ulysses?
Dad: Cream
Anyone who doesn’t know that song by heart loves the cock.

Ulysses is Latin, Odysseus is Greek
Spartacus was a Greek, though.

It's a grand observation you've made there and and a plain stating of the simple facts of the matter as it were. And, if I might be so bold in chiming in, to my way of thinking, he's a poor representative of either Tribe. Neither Celtic fish nor Mexican fowl as they say.

True. The Hispanic derivation is spelled "Ulises" and familiarly called "Ulee" (hence, "Ulee's gold). I bet the Betos call their son Ulee at home.
The name "Ulysses" also draws from the Betos' Irish roots: the greatest novel in Irish literary history is "Ulysses" by James Joyce.

Spartacus was a Thracian, to be precise. Not an authentic Greek.

His parents named him Hiram Ulysses Grant, but he didn't like the initials "H.U.G." so he changed his name to Ulysses Simpson Grant.
