My first realization of how bad it was with HS kids was about 20 years ago when I was watching local TV sports covering the HS football scores. The video was of cheerleaders. They were fat. I had never seen fat cheerleaders in my life until that point.
I was later told that the really obese girls are in the pep squads because they get to sit down the whole game.
