White House adds eight House Republicans to Trump impeachment team

The White House has named eight Republican House members to aid in President Trump's defense in his Senate impeachment trial.
The White House released the names of the lawmakers on Monday night. They include Reps. Doug Collins of Georgia, Mike Johnson of Louisiana, Jim Jordan of Ohio, Debbie Lesko of Arizona, Mark Meadows of North Carolina, John Ratcliffe of Texas, Elise Stefanik of New York, and Lee Zeldin of New York.
The lawmakers will likely not speak on the Senate floor during the trial as Senate Majority Leader McConnell opposed the idea. Rather, each member will aid Trump's defense in other ways, which could include speaking to the media and advising the White House.

Bad arse move!
This makes it pretty clear that the House was not fully on board with all that nonsense. I wish they'd Doug Collins and Jim Jordan speak.

Don't know too much about Lesko or Zeldin, but the others are a "Who's Who of Political Greatness."

This is totally awesome. It reminds me of when they moved Jim Jordan over to another committee just so he could continue to hound on Schiff.
I remember one of those exchanges. Jim Jordan went a little over his time and Schiff asked him to finish his point and told him the chair was running out of patience and he chuckles and says, "Mr. Chairman, I think we have all just about ran out of patience with you."
It's like Jordan is saying, "let me at that Pencil Necked motherfricker!" He's chasing him all over Capitol Hill.

I think the 100% partisan line vote made that pretty clear a month or two when removing him from office was supposed to be incredibly urgent.
