What's the best argument against an all out AR ban?

Drugs are illegal but you can still buy weed and cocaine.
The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.
We need them to protect against tyrants that have access to nukes and F18s.
Well why don't we just ban automobiles while we're at it.

You do realize MANY more people would have died had the GOOD GUY WITH AN AR15 hadn't shot that sick frick Sunday... Right? This last event literally solidifies that line of thought.
Ask the Chinese under Mao how not having access to guns was. What was the death toll by Mao? How many millions again?
Well, if saving lives is the end goal, why not ban any transportation over 25mph? Why endanger everyone when you can travel safely at 25mph as man has since the dawn of time.
Oh. Or we could go right for the jugular and ban alcohol, tobacco, and high fructose corn syrup and all the hundreds of thousands of deaths those cause each year. Remember... If it only saves one life. Think of the children

Shootings - It's always just stories and #s reported (conveniently right away) but no on the ground video like in the 70's and 80's. Blood and guts...it's just always "reported" - you can report anything. And then the story fades...
I'm sorry but if 50 people were reported shot dead in the 80's...there would be a thousand cameras and news trucks and tons of pictures of bloody victims...it would never end. Charles Whitman...that story last years. The McDonald's shooter in the 80's - you saw all the dead and blood...News Camera was there right away.
Mass shootings happened rarely - maybe 1 a decade.
Now suddenly they happen once a week?
We're being played. No evidence. Just reported - by the always reliable News.

How many would have died had they both been carrying beretta 9mm's? Also it's well established that shooting had ended and the guy was leaving. Doesn't make the plumbers actions any less commendable but stop pushing a false narrative that he ended the carnage.

You see lots of 30 round pistol mags from your experience on the range lol? I promise you a rate of fire, reload, trigger pull, fatigue from holding a pistol compared to shoulder fired semi-auto. , etc... no you cannot fire, reload or last as long with a pistol compared to an AR variant weapon. You just can't.
