What effect does the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel have on the US?

I feel this was a pointless decision that just pissed off the rest of the world. This has no effect on America as a whole and angered a lot of allies. It puts a huge strain on peace talks for the conflict.

Have you ever considered that if it pissed off the rest of the America hating world than it was a good move?

It's anti-globalist

It’s the correct thing to do. Just because the majority of the world are anti-semites doesn’t mean we have to be.

You are exactly right. That said I am soooo glad we FINALLY did this.

Why? Because it means we had 1. don the right thing. and 2. we have stopped bowing to the NWO/UN/our enemy.

You have to look at Trump and his base like thin-skinned children who have been emasculated repeatedly. Once you do that, all of their actions and speech start to make sense.

By getting more involved in a toxic conflict?

It blows my mind that anyone at all cares about this, outside of the embassy staff themselves. This has zero practical impact on anything. It was pointless to move it, and the reaction has been outright hilarious.

Please explain how moving a building does this in any way. Are people not aware that we have a consulate already in Jerusalem performing the same functions that an embassy does? Those trying to paint something as irrelevant as “recognition” to be getting involved in a conflict are idiots.

I don't think the rest of the world really cares.

Because the US is supposed to be one of the major peace brokers for the conflict. One of the major disputes in the conflict is who has control of Jerusalem. Right now, its an international city split up into 4 part; Jews, Christians, Muslims, and Armenians. With Trump saying Jerusalem is the capital of Israel, it throws a wrench in future peace talks.

We know you've never been emasculated because you have never been masculine.

Don't you know every time we don't roll over for the Palestinians, we are disrupting the peace process?

Agreed. And I certainly don’t think the United States gets to decide what is the capital of Israel. Trump was crushed on this one.
