This is what is getting lost and it's at a 30,000 foot level. This entire Roy Moore situation is a McTurtle/Bannon fight. People are totally looking past that.

scenario:
bannon knows both moore's and mcconnell's past, so backing moore is a win-win. if he's elected unscathed, great. but if he's forced out because of his seedy past, bannon can use the same precedent on mcconnell. at worst, he's sacrificing moore for mcconnell. i think most people would take that.

I was watching the hearing today and some congressman was talking about Nixon. I googled him and he has been a congressman since 1965. That's just too long.
