They have Moral high ground. They are better and all must eat their blue pill. There is no rational argument that can persuade any of them.
They also seem to have no agenda, no capability of speaking without commuting logical fallacy, and consistently spit narrative before fact.

They must either now admit it and be content to re-invent themselves from the ground up - an effort that will take at least 2 generations, or they must charge blindly ahead hoping for a miracle victory where they can whitewash their history and impose their will on their new subjects.
I think they have opted for the latter - this is nothing more than a last ditch Kamikazi attack on American politics.
