What are the odds Putin starts openly mocking Obama?

Serious question.

You have the Russian Parliament openly mocking the US, so how soon do you think it will before Putin does it?

In my eyes, Putin has nothing to lose. In fact, it would have a big effect on Obama's already sagging popularity numbers here. There's nothing worse than your head of state being openly mocked with impunity- especially when it rings true. We have a feckless leader, and it's only going to go downhill from here.

What says the poliboard?

I doubt he does. He doesn't have to, he looks better if he just lets everyone else do it and he stays "above" it.

I'm no Obamabot by any stretch, but I don't take too kindly to people mocking my country, whether we deserve it or not.

He'd better not start mocking Obama.

That's my job.

Im no Obamabot either and I dont like Putin or other countries mocking us but it is unfortunately what it is and will continue. Never in my lifetime did I think there would be a worse president than Jimmy Carter but Obama has surpassed him and what amazes me is that this great country elected him twice. Truly unbelievable.

That's exactly the point I am getting at. It builds frustration and discontent in the people, until they realize that the anger should be directed at the guy in the White House, not at the guy saying it. You can get angry all you want, but you're not going to change the guy in the oval office for the next 3 years. Exactly why I think Putin would have nothing to lose.

Crimean Prime Minister Sergey Aksyonov mocked President Barack Obama on Twitter Monday by tweeting a photoshopped picture of him in a Russian military outfit. “Interestingly, after the success of the company in returning Crimea, Barack is getting the rank of colonel?” wrote Aksyonov.

He's doing it now. Its crazy, its like he's trying to expose Obama, like he knows our media won't. Its like he's trying to save America, in some strange way. I guess every villain needs a strong antithesis.

Answer: so long as around 40% of America (on the right) continue to support Putin in a comical strategy to bash Obama.

I saw somebody on Fox news say "Russia has a REAL leader." I'm sure Putin eats that shite up.

Stop deflecting, AD.

Your boy has imploded. He's a complete failure regarding both domestic policy and foreign policy.

Nobody here, except for maybe Ralph Wiggum, cares about an ex KGB agent.

40%? Really?

The other part of this is that Americans want a President that has swagger and a connection to the people. All of this warm and fuzzy stuff wrapped around a center of hatred towards success goes against the grain.

Nobody on the right supports Putin. I do not condone his actions and I think he is a tyrant.

Just because we point out that right now, Putin is making Obama look like a fool doesn't mean we support him.

Granted it was never in the level of Russia, but Chavez mocked gwb so it's not like this never happens. And this is much different in that it's in direct response to sanctions. Almost like Russia is trying to goat Obama into a stronger response.

That's part of the plan I think. Make the people scream for more, only to have Obama show how he'll take no action. Putin knows it, and Obama knows it.
