It is either to get the Leader out of power or for oil reasons. Either way American needs to stop policing the world and all of this other NeoCohen bullshite. Trump ran as the anti war candidate and he was a liar. Just an extension of what we have had since Bush.
I saw this coming a mile away but sadly all of the other republicans were pretty terrible too. Our country is cooked. As soon as a western nation overthrows their leftist government I am moving there.

Its an attempt to rally the masses and deflect from domestic problems, and conveniently enact regime change.

I used to work right next to a migrant center where they were shipping those frickers in and my boss actually hired a couple Venezuelans for a couple weeks to do some manual labor. These guys were my age and had never even smoked weed before. Venezuela is not some drug haven like we think.
It could turn out that if this is all a motive to get a right wing government into Venezuela that things will work out for the better, but I dont think it will really end up like that.

I’m against neocons and neoliberals, and I feel ashamed that I voted for Bush twice and enabled that stuff, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t counter Russia and China trying to assert control over the Western hemisphere.

That is surely part of it but there is more to it, there is likely a reason we are specifically target Venezuela.
Why not target Mexican drug cartels instead, for the last time? If he did that then he would likely have more support from the right.
