And if it comes to answering a question if I am at risk of dying in a coal mine. I will trust a coal miner over the EPA or the oncologist in my home town.



Regulations don't usually exist until the problem is rampant And yes -- you often wait years for data and evidence and for a regulatory framework to be built.

We need mining. We really do. We can strike a balance between environmental stewardship and development.. it's just not easy when the money people have so much influence.

And if integrity of a mine is needing assessed a beaurocrat knows best.
