Our entire society is fake.
Once you realize how fake, it will change everything about your lffe.

Obamacare's entire business plan was to persuade young healthy people onto the exchange because of muh first black and hip president. Even after they spent billions on commercials aimed at young healthy people, they could never even come close to achieving critical mass. It was a death spiral from Day 1, the individual mandates were also a joke and never brought in any significant cost offsets.

Does The Republican Party have a viable alternative to the current system? Obviously none of them are going to support a single payer system, but most every alternative I've seen is only good if you never get sick. Getting cancer is financially ruinous if you make anything less than upper middle class money.
We certainly need a GOP alternative. There are proposals to make the insurance market more competitive, flexible and tailor made to individual's real needs.
We personally had good policies before Obamacare. They were about $500 per month in NY, but are equivalent to Obamacare's >$2000 Platinum plans. Now the Obamacare Bronze plan is like the old catastrophic only policies that sold for $120 in NY prior to the ACA.
Replacing Obamacare needs to be the next high priority.

I am being bombarded daily with Medicaire info. But using my normal agent. Will get all coverages. ABD and medigap. Think I have it right. But my normal free Medicaire A still doesn’t cover it all. Then I pay for medigap and other products they pick up the co pay stuff. I am maxing out on all I can because it still is less than half what I pay now. They can make it confusing so get a good agent or someone to explain

I couldn't agree more. The promoted "reality" is synthetic and events and main characters are mostly agitprop theater and actors.
But for someone who generally bemoans "CTs", your position sounds CT-ish, doesn't it? (And again, I commend your position on seeing through all the scripted nonsense.)

ACA marketplace is not a cheaper solution especially for as you say people that are retiring earlier than retirement age. Those who can retire before that 65 number surely did because they could as they wouldn’t need to worry about not getting a paycheck to make bills this month. And if you this that buy adding max amount to SSI for 40-45 years will get you a monthly check that can live one let alone pay ACA then plan on getting that savings up a bit. No older person than can quit work out of choices made is buying that crap insurance

Nothing will change. WHY?
The fake Republican Congress led by Speaker Johnson and President have the chance to repeal the ongoing govt-contrived propaganda (The Smith-Mundt Act), but didn't for some weird reason. As a result we shall all remain steeped and saturated in bulls#it narratives day in and day out until as we are told, the "hostile Aliens attack us."
Reminder:

The Smith-Mundt Modernization Act (part of 2013 NDAA) repealed the prohibition that kept the U.S. government from using propaganda on U.S. citizens.
Terms like "misinformation," "disinformation," "fake news," and the like have become part of the lexicon making up the modern American political discourse since its passage...

Obamacare only works for some as some other poor bastard pays for it. Robbing Peter to pay Paul.
