So the problem I see here? They want a pure democracy and we have a Representative Consitutional Republic. Most of these folks have no idea the fundamental difference between a pure democracy and our form of government (as in a Constitutional Republic). A scathing indictment of Civics (or lack thereof) classes in High School.

A monarchy is essentially privately owned government. The stickler in our current situation is that would include the debt. No sane person would run to become a US monarch and agree to be personally liable for $30T.
