Virginia’s state senate has voted down an effort to institute an “assault weapons” ban across the state.
The ban would have prohibited the sale of certain semi automatic firearms, including popular rifles like the AR-15, and banned the ownership of magazines that can hold more than 12 rounds. While Democrats hold a narrow majority in Virginia’s senate, four moderate Democrats joined Republicans in opposition to the controversial gun bill, according to the Associated Press.
Senators voted to put off the issue for 2020 and instead defer to Virginia’s State Crime Commission to further study the issue.

They can go over the cliff with Bernie Radicals...or live to fight another day. They chose the latter; good choice for their Ideological battle.
Responsible people will never give up their guns; the World, and Progressive Leftist ruled Cities become more unstable and deadly by the day...and the more insecure people become...the more they will "cling to their guns and Religion".
The Dems may as well shove their 'Democratic' Majority Rule bs where the sun don't shine. They will truly have to murder by the thousands to try and take those guns. And if they do, the trees will be decorated with wanna be tyrants. They had best turn to HONEST (comprehensive, un-censored) dialogue, debate and common sense redress of problems. Or else.
