Virginia mental patients are allowed to roam free.

Dude was found not competent to stand trial for killing his landlord. Committed to state mental hospital. Allowed out to travel to DC to get a passport (WTF?!?). Allowed out again on a 48 hour pass, where he promptly goes straight to Dulles and gets on a one way flight to Tajikistan (no extradition natch). As Lombardi said, What the hell is going on out here?!?

The horror of taxpayers not having to house this individual who would either need constant medical care, or would eventually need to be housed in a more severe facility.
