The old school truck driver's hate on the automatics, however every truck we own is an auto. Gets a little bit better fuel milage and they all eventually come around to like them, especially in stop and go traffic, easier to drive, etc. I've had many guys turn their nose up and nearly not take a job because of the auto, then ever single one of them eventually admits they like it.

A lot used to be 13 speed, but it is a lot easier to get Habib on the road in an automatic.

White Hawk Carriers Inc out of Ceres, CA. Looks like it was a small company with only 8 trucks total listed. I'd read their insurance has dropped them and their Motor Carrier Authority revoked.

I'm in the industry and it's a huge problem with drivers speaking little to no English.

We put it on our rate cons and it's going to be modified in our broker/carrier contracts going forward, but we are going to require all drivers speak english for our loads.

we had an issue last Friday where a driver showed up at my customers dock prior to the appointment but did not understand that he needed to move so another driver could unload first. Said it took him nearly an hour to move out of the way.

Now with it being mandated and legal, we can require all carriers to speak english. It's a huge problem at our brokerage as well.

My last year in trucking I was a trainer. I was to train drivers who had obtained their CDL using trucks with automatic transmission, on how to operate a stick shift.

I'd bet $20,000 of my own money that a lawsuit is already in progress, if it hasn't already been drafted.
If it was in Alabama Alex would have tracked them down already.

Hell might have anyway.

The family should be able to sue the state of California for giving the non english speaking jeet a commercial license. That's after they sue the Company that hired his hummus smelling arse. This sht needs to stop.

I was side-swiped by a Sudanese truck driver I am now thinking was probably illegal about 4 years ago. He gave the police officer his insurance only it wasnt their auto insurance it was some other crap generic company insurance they didn't even own anymore. Luckily I had enough info I was able to hunt the trucking company down and after a few months of digging got their insurance coverage from a website to give the police report it was a massive hassle

Singh was reportedly hauling a load of processed chicken to Danville when his GPS device led him to the Dale Bend Bridge. Though there were signs posted at the bridge entrance warning the driver about the 6 ton weight limit, Singh attempted to cross the bridge anyway in his 38 ton truck.
