part of that is that we haven’t had a liberal court since the 60s.
Liberal judges rarely have to jump ship to make sure the legally correct argument is made. they can always just posture.

Historically the republicans like to take the high road and talk about being proper and not wanting to set precedent.
Historically the dumbocrats throw morality in the trash and go for the jugular when they have power. By any means necessary.
They are openly calling for packing the court and creating new states. They are openly calling for destruction of businesses that support republican causes.
The leftist SCOTUS judges would throw the constitution into the trash in a heartbeat.
