The first point deserves attention but let's be honest, that kid's parents are not going to talk to the media. Nobody would in that situation. That's every parent's nightmare.
I would expect something from a nosy neighbor or kids he grew up with though. I suspect there's not a lot of effort to pry here, kind of like the Vegas shooter - a flurry of speculation and then crickets.
