I think you are exactly like them and would act in the same manner if you were in the same circumstances. You've done nothing to indicate you are different to me.
If Russia decided to start arming Native American Indians and gave them a state in the middle of the country, and then attacked anyone who tried to resist, killing hundreds of thousands of people, and so forth in the process - you would act the same way. You would hate the Native Americans and you would blame Russia for their support and you would want to attack them.
And if Russia then decided all the regions in the US that opposed the existence of the Native American state needed a regime change and attacked them and installed governments friendly to Russia and the Native American state, you'd be upset as well. And it would be understandable.
There isn't always a good guy.

A Muslim is far more likely to NOT assimilate.
They live by a very different set of rules.
