Once people have a 4 year record on which to judge Biden, including the ability to assess Biden and Trump side by side on some key issues such as covid, it may well be a completely different looking playing field at that point. The bright future we were promised wherein Biden was to bring the country together and rid us of covid with his plan that was supposed to be superior to Trump's in every way.....those as well as other promises may well prove to have been empty. Biden's current trajectory certainly doesn't seem very promising.
Thus a 2024 Trump-Biden playing field may well, likely in fact, look much different than 2020.
