Trump

Is not going away, no matter how bad some want him to. That being said, he is the favorite to win, get used to it or stay home.

You can blame yourself if you do.

DeSantis should not run for president in 2024 if he ever wants to be the president. His whole shtick relied on herding Trump voters without Trump in the field. He sounds like a queen-y gay man who hangs out at Key West. Has no charisma on camera at all. His reputation is 100% built on pursuing agendas in his role as governor that best fits whatever is Epic Bacon Conservatism at the moment so it can get reposted on reddit, twitter, etc.

Trump is an old man but he'd lampoon poor Ron in a debate. Would it be a good debate according to all Ron's Ivy League friends? No, of course not, but Trump knows how to send the vibes his base is looking for in these settings.

Trump is the Republican Party now no matter how much their backroom powers wish him not to be.

This strategy paid off in 2020, didn't it?

The last week of February 2015 (the closest poll to todays date in the last cycle I could find)

Donald Trump wasn’t even polling in single digits. Making a definitive statement at this juncture would be silly.

I stand by my statement. Texas is Trump country. Ron needs to worry about Florida for as much as everyone loves him there his lead is small. Kinda makes you wonder how he would have a chance anywhere else. When reality sets in ( should have already) Trump is the nominee. He hasn't even begun to play the game with DeSantis. Trump gains with mean tweets he gains with everything the democrats do and they won't stop. Ron hasn't even announced and DeSantis supporters seem to think that's to their advantage. It's not. As soon as he announces the non stop on slot will break the poor guy.

Being a Packer fan I can empathize.

Lots of playoff wins but only one Super Bowl.

At least we're getting rid of the guy.

I find it comical that the guy that jumped in every poll thread to say "Polls don't matter." is now the one posting more poll threads than the rest of the board combined.

Not surprised in the least either.

Right, the DeSantis cult would never do such a thing!

Nope, he was bested by the man who won 81 million votes but, he is the favorite to win.

I hope most folks will come to their senses. They might not like Trump but, he's better than the best democrat.

So do I. We can vote in someone who has potential to be the greatest President in our lifetimes, and some of you want to frick that up because of some misguided loyalty.

Who?

I'm loyal to voting against anyone with a D beside their name and the winner of the GOP primary.

The best governor in the country and someone who has actually demonstrated that he can lead and push forward a conservative agenda.

I want a conservative. You want a populist.

Who, tell me their name. I don't see a governor in the race.

Maybe they change my mind. Right now, Trump has my vote.

If he doesn't run, it's because he knows you Loyalists won't come off Trump no matter what other options you're given.
