It's smug of me to look at the demographics and statistics of who would be impacted by specific requirements?
Does requiring a picture ID when purchasing a firearm place a disproportional burden on the poor? (Notice how I don't make assumptions about economic standing based solely on skin color. It's because I"m not a racist.)
Also, would you prefer Strophie the Racist or The Racist Strophie as a nom de guerre? They both fit but I'll defer to your preference in this.

At a glance, it looks like it might. Of course, there's a lot more that correlates to firearm purchase; like firearms being relatively expensive for someone making little income.

And where did I make such a claim? I said "the poor AND minorities." Two distinct groups. Not "the poor minorities." Unless you misunderstand the argument.

Please explain how an ID requirement places more of a burden on an affluent minority voter than an affluent WASP.

It doesn't. But demographically, significantly fewer minorities are affluent. Ergo their groups are going to be disproportionately affected by such laws.
This is no proclamation on the earning of any particular race; it's the current demographic reality. And those demographic groups vote significantly more democratic.
Do the math.
