The pardon was related to tech bros Peter Thiel and Marc Andreessen. if you want to know why, google it. It involves some futuristic high tech "libertarian" cities.

What? The stated reason by Trump for pardoning the Honduran president is that he thinks the president was treated unfairly. Whatever the actual reason, it shows that a CONVICTION in federal court for drug offenses leading to a sentence of over 40 years is not an unpardonable sin.
I say what I mean. I don't think Trump's an evil mastermind. I think Rubio is driving the military force against drug boats as a means of achieving his long-sought goal of regime change in Venezuela.
I see Trump's statement as a means of further rattling Maduro's cage...without costing more lives or treasure. The stick (leave now or else) followed by a carrot (you're pardoned) would be a rational, humane, and efficient way of accomplishing regime change.
You're a smart person. What do you think I'm missing?

Be more specific. How so? There are people slamming Trump for “nefariously commuting the sentence of a Ponzi scheme leader” when the elements of Ponzi were clearly not met. A conviction…especially by the Biden DOJ….should be scrutinized.
So. I ask again. Do you think it’s more likely the Biden DOJ acted shady or that Trump nefariously wants to release a Honduran ex-executive??
