No, she had this career long academic write it. He’s never held a job in the private sector, only taught Economics @ UC Berkeley for the majority of his career. Though he was the co-winner of the 2001 Nobel Prize in Economics for his work on how ‘Asymmetric Information’ Impacts Prices.
That would be her husband George Akerlof.
