This is what social media companies should be able to censor.

Physical or death threats. That’s it.
Beyond that, it’s all good.
If I want to insult the frick out of you or harass you, it’s legal.
If I want to spread outright lies about you, you have the right to sue me for libel and slander.
The real problem is the libel and slander laws are way too strict.

I‘d actually sort of like to be able to know if someone is threatening to kill me.

He’s saying if they censor it he won’t see it and won’t know about it.
