This is the area that could be really awesome. Develop this area right and the image of the city changes like it did when BHM fixed the Railroad Park area.

Fondren is the future. There are outstanding restaurants in and around Jackson. There is a unique culture there that has tons of potential.

But people wanna feel safe.

Safest, most developed part of Jackson already. Who else is on your task force? We need to talk!

IMO, there are too many people on it. You have state government officials, hospital officials, university officials, business leaders, and then there are people who you have no idea what they do and they are very loud.

It won't happen in the current political climate, but people know the way to fix Jackson is to concentrate on the area in the map above and then work out.

That area has nice homes and neighborhoods, great restaurants. The elementary schools are fine and the middle and high schools are the least shitty. Murrah has a national merit finalist this year.

There are investors ready to come in and take a chance. The infighting and corruption has to stop.

I live in Clinton. New houses are being built in droves. I live off of Pinehaven Drive and Clinton is definitely growing to the north. Is Jackson's problem about to become our problem?

acn -- Tell your group about the Jeff Bezos rule: If you can't feed the entire group with 2 large pizzas, the group has too many members.

Maybe split in 2 like our legislature does with its Judiciary committees: a Jud A and Jud B committee.

This may run long but here is my "Jackson is a shithole, but it has good bones" spill.

I would not support a single fricking dollar going into that third world shite hole. Let it implode, declare it open for homesteaders, and move on.
