The statements make them look like shite.
They are basically outraged as “We have to do this because Franken’s actions are undercutting our position.” Not because it was wrong or anything like that.

Meh. Only because its convenient since there’s a Dem governor in MN who would be able to appoint another Dem to replace Franken. If Franken is out of the way, they can go back on the attack against Moore. If a GOP governor was going to be appointing a replacement, there wouldnt be nearly as many Dems coming out against Franken publicly.
