why would a cloth filter be degraded by sitting in the sun for a few hours? Maybe it would but I would prefer that to nothing or a t-shirt over my face if my life depended on it.

UVC disinfection is probably sufficient for some degree of reuse. Regarding a protection factor, those health care professionals are likely not maintaining a proper fit with their N-95 masks for an entire shift...so the protection factor is reduced anyway.

These masks were not designed to be sterilized and reused. They might be degraded by the sterilization process. Using a defected mask is no better than no mask. It would be better to make heavier cloth masks that could be sterilized and reused.
So what, did you major in Mask Studies in college? How the frick do you know what they can and can't handle?

I can't recall her name, Mole. She pairs usually with Shannon Bream, Leeland Homo and has a deep serious journo voice. She's definitely more anti-Trump, typical gotcha journos.

BTW- skimmed through the Fox News site and it does not appear that they are promoting the segment.

I guarantee that if I asked you to walk through a room of infected people with a choice of no mask or a potentially partially degraded defective mask your arse would put that mask right the frick on.

Or you would just not all into the room...
