I predict in a week or two there will be massive pressure to reopen the economy and if governments refuse there will be a lot of people that reopen their business anyways.

Ive been told that citizens can’t be violent because the government has an army and nuclear weapons.

I'm surprised there is a lot more pushback for the simple reason there are a lot of people allowed to work who are really essential. Many factories open that are no more important than some factories that are closed.

You have to consider this, the only people who will be eligible to draw regular unemployment bennies, are people who have been paying in, long enough to be eligible.

Under normal circumstances you are 100% correct but we know normal has left the building.

The folks prone to violence have had no changes in their day to day except they have more cash and dont have to pay rent. I dont know what you are going to do with all your ammo, but we will be just fine.

people are willingly giving up their civil rights NOW..
I make decisions all the time to consider those around me... this is no different... I am modifying behavior, not giving up rights.

One thing if for certain, this deal is uncovering a shite ton of drama queens.

could you imagine rioting to open your business to find that most of your customers aren't showing up?

That was my thinking.....do you tear up your own shite? Or the property of other Americans? No one is starving, no one is being mistreated, we all have air heat and all the comforts of every other day.

I have been working out of my house for a long long time, own a business, and my wife has been sent home.......we are just going to hang out, and get on with life in a few weeks. I am not going to riot.

One thing that has been revealed is that with the gyms closed, the fitness levels of the runners/walkers in my neighborhood have increased like 10 fold.

If you were one of the numerous business owners who will go out of business because of the stay at home proclamations, you’d probably be singing a different tune.

The longer this drags out the more likely it becomes a matter of "when" and not "if".

I thought the first stimulus checks to us tax payers were going out the week of April 6th?

That's direct deposit. But if you have outstanding child support, you don't get one. Then the checks will be mailed. Via USPS, which says they are almost broke, and record numbers of carriers are calling in. I just got a bill in the mail yesterday, that was due March 1st.

Good luck getting someone on the phone when you don't get a check in 6 weeks.

lulz

If the same virus was going around without closures, and LSU was hosting a regional, your arse would be clamoring for a ticket.

Keep deluding yourself.

I can promise with 100% certainty I would not become violent.

Would I be upset, dejected, sad, even mad.........but I would not be violent. That I s the entire point of this thread.

See how the drama ensued? This thread had a topic.

What does this have to do with anything? There are strawmen, then there is your response.
