The media sharks are already swarming. It’s going to turn into another partisan clusterfrick, and I already see a large amount of teachers emotionally pleading for their safety. Well frick, you’re like the only ones NOT working at this point. Sack up like the rest of us. Although, if I was getting full pay to have a 15 min ZOOM meeting each day I probably wouldn’t want to go back either.

They'll still ask for raises even of they distance learn. If they have to teach they'll cry for hazard pay. Teachers are twats.

This would be a huge win for Trump imo.

Parents dont want to have to babysit their school aged children.

I have talked to many parents and this spring was hard on them.

You can’t get all people back to work if schools are closed.

That’s the game. To wreck the economy.

I agree. I've seen several of my friends that are teachers and administrators already complaining on Facebook. I've worked every single day through all of this. It's no big deal.

I have zero sympathy for them. They already only work 6 months out of the year and have played their part in indoctrinating the last couple of generations.

Get your asses back to work.

Schools will remain closed at every level in the fall, I agree. Too much media pressure.

Oh, it’s a fricking disaster but the media mob has already proven how powerful they are. They are already gearing up for this fight.

I have lost hope myself. Our system is set to resume in several weeks, however, they are still working on a contingency plan on what to do if they have ONE (UNO) positive case in a school. Options include closing the school for 24 hours and disinfecting. They are following CDC guidelines. We are screwed.

I love my kids but this isn’t healthy on either of us to have them home all day, every day. They need school. I need them to go to school. Sanity is at stake.

My friends that are teachers in Georgia were bitching about a potential 5% pay cut a couple of months ago. All I could think was "You've only worked about 4 months this year(while getting paid every month, like normal) and you're seriously bitching about 5%?"

Seriously, frick teachers. They are always bitching about being underpaid, when they're actually paid well...considering how little of the year that they actually work. 180 days a year, plus in-service days.

After a brief hiatus in May/June, the media is now fully back on the Covid-19 bandwagon until November. School systems nationwide will cave to the media pressure.

There isn't enough money in the world to make me teach in an Atlanta inner city school.

Those teachers don't get paid enough.

My city wants my 6 year old to wear a mask to school, so I'm kind of on board with shutting the whole thing down.

Not all teachers are enemies.
And they have no say about what school will look like in the fall.
Not sure what the pitchfork brigade is about.

Good point. If I were a teacher, I would definitely try to avoid having to work in a city like Atlanta. Those teachers deserve hazard pay and more.

Trump is going to end Fed funding to closed schools.

Remember the daily roll call? Schools get paid by average attendance. If that average is zero they will get $0. Want the Fed $? Get some butts in the seats!

Really. Like shut the frick up. The majority of us have been out here working the entire fricking time to earn money to pay taxes to pay your fricking salary.

Hell, being around a bunch of shitlips everyday is probably one of the safest places you can be considering they’ve shown very little ability to contract or spread the disease.

Again though, they got full pay for doing nearly nothing at the end of last school year. They probably got REAL used to that and would love to see it continue
