I say we start a thread celebrating the death of dumb fricks who resist arrest, fight and are subsequently neutralized by LEO'S. We can call it The George Floyd Award thread. Let's see how well that's accepted, huh?

I'm surprised that doesn't already exist. If Reddit bans it, can we do it here?

Too late! We already do. Keep up the great work, hypocrisy and all.

completely untrue. again mischaracterizing the sentiment here.

Not at all. The content on the subreddit is people using social media to discourage vaccination and then dying from the virus.

Are we limiting ourselves to reddit?
no one would consider all of reddit "limiting" anything. the site is substantial. it's known as the website that has a sub for everything. so yes, in all of reddit, where are the hateful, edgy conservative subs that are allowed to stay? you said they exist. let's see them.

Because I would just link to this board.
terrible example. you're not censored here. you may be downvoted into oblivion, but your post or thread will stay up. if this board is your only example, then you're making my point for me.

Don't act like reddit takes down anything conservative, and don't act like they only take down conservative stuff.
putting words in my mouth. i said edgy and controversial several times. not "anything". don't change it.

quote:

They take down anything that crosses certain lines. But of course no conservative will be honest and reflect on why they tend to cross these lines so often.
subreddits like in the OP fall in line with reddit's very left leaning views and are allowed to stay. the conservative ones that "cross the line" are immediately removed, thus giving the appearance to you that conservative ones must be more vulgar more often since they're deleted so much. it's a product of reddit's intolerance for different viewpoints, not the actual substance of the viewpoints.

so back to the point and the question that i've asked 3 times with no answer--do you think a subbreddit called r/GeorgeFloydAward or r/MichaelBrownAward would be allowed to stay? Assume it's moderated in the exact same way with the same rules about gloating over dead people.

and yes, i will accuse you of deflecting if you don't answer yet again. i look forward to your honest response.

and that's great for the subreddit, but we were talking about the sentiment here--on this board--being decent people, the majority of whom are against mandates.

i'd encourage you to scroll back and take the context of the discussion into consideration.

This is a very specific needle you're asking for me to pull from that haystack. As long as they keep it mild like the sub in question, it stays up.

There is a lot of similar discussion in the various political subs that stays up. A topic that conservatives might like to talk about like justified cop shootings and things like that goes on with no problem at all. And if this Cain Awards sub gets out of hand (and it looks like it might given the surge in members lately) then I have little doubt that it will be heavily moderated. It may already be heavily moderated.

Posts and threads get whacked here all the time. Users are banned all the time. Almost every site has lines you can't cross.

And you're putting words in mine. I didn't say the conservative equivalent of this particular style of distasteful content exists on reddit. I said that I'm pretty certain it would be allowed.

Ah I see, my opinions are biased and yours are not.

That probably has less of a chance to fly because that's death due to violence. Much more likely to get way out of hand. See what I mean about conservatives not knowing where the line is?

Not surprising that a conservative thinks he and only he is allowed to drive the narrative.

The best part of all this is that this thread is supposed to highlight how vile the left is, but you've given examples of hypothetical conservative versions of similar but objectively more vile content. And it's exactly the type of stuff that gets discussed here. Exactly like I've been saying. The worst of reddit's left is on par with the daily discussion around here.

Good on you to reply to the whole thing, but we’re just miles apart here. Have a hard time finding anything in there I even agree with. There’s no convincing each other of anything.

Let’s do abortion ban

quote:

That’s what happens when someone chooses to frick a rando who doesn’t pull out
. Why should my tax dollars pay for their murdered baby.

Now that we are good with that. Let’s set up a Reddit page to slut shame women that travel to Mexico or another state to murder their baby.

CZ will never understand what a hypocritical piece of garbage he and his ilk are.
