I am “No Party” so I filled out a form to vote in the Republican primary. Can democrats do this as well? The poll workers are too retarded to know.

No Party can vote in either, but have to stay with that party through any runoffs.
Dems and Republicans have to vote for their party.
Dems and Republicans have to vote for their party.

This keeps RINO "moderates" in power. We have a worse system here in Alabama where anyone can vote in any party's primary regardless of registration status. There is a movement to correct this here but it'll probably take a few years.

Only in open primary states, most likely it’s how Raffensperger won the 2022 SOS primary in Georgia

United States should have a real party system like the Europeans instead of this retail marketing style voting system.
Party membership should require some form of entry and candidates should be decided within the party. We don't actually have parties in the United States, which probably should tell you something.
The point of this government ran party candidate selection and openness is to keep the two party system together. If the parties started discriminating on membership (not necessarily the racial connotation but still similar in what it would do) then new parties would likely emerge.

There is nothing appealing about European governments.

It depends on the state.
