Don Siegelman.

Could he have done better than Jones if he ran. Yes I know he was convicted, but just for the sake of argument assume he was found not guilty.

I mean surely the Democrats can't win nothing in Alabama can they? Republicans have won in NY (hello Pataki) and California (hello Arnie) and Democrats have won in places like Utah and Montana recently.

Walt Maddox probably could've won but I struggle to think of any other statewide Democrat that could have done better than Jones. Of course maybe being a pro-life Democrat is all it would've taken. To bad they don't exist anymore.

Seems to be extinct. Why haven't environmentalists tried to save the pro-life democrats?
