Even if you and all of your friends had this kind of weaponry and trained frequently, do you think you'd stand a chance against the might of the US military?

Do you think the US Military would attack citizens of the USA???

Hell, if the top 20% just stopped paying taxes, the government would be broke in a couple of weeks.

Very good point, which is why I believe the IRS has a plain for a monetary revolt. Hell they have a plan for collecting taxes post-apocalypse.

I got one of those Tactical Flashlights they sell on basic cable. Going to run it over with my truck when I get around to it.

If the military doesn't side with the tyrants why do you need the weaponry to protect yourself?

I believe it was you that provided the hypothetical that citizens were matched against the US Military. Apparently, you noticed the flaw in your premise.

I will just continue to arm myself in such a way that the US Constitution provides. I also won't tell you how you should be armed.

So you'd be ok if a private citizen owned a tank or fighter jets if they could personally afford it?

A little above my price range, but actually, that's a lot less than I thought it would be. If I had the money to burn, I'd be all over it

I don't need to defend my right to own a tactical weapon, the second amendment does so for me.

That is incorrect.

The second Amendment does not give you the right, You already have it.

The second amendment is often referred to as a negative right, because it is written to prevent the government from passing/infringing on a right that you already have.

The first amendment also defines negative rights, by stating that "Congress shall pass no law"
