If you’re lucky enough to live in a free state, get active and fight for what you got because if you don't that’ll be lost at some point as well.
Areas where they havent became prevalent are the sanctuary for decent people

I give us less than 5 years at our current economic levels before we really start to feel like the third world country we are becoming.
It’ll be slower than that.
People’s standard of living hasn’t been hit in the suburbs yet. You can see evidence of how shitty our society is with urban dwellers, especially young ones. They can’t find housing that doesn’t break the bank or isn’t a shithole. But they feel tethered to cities because they have to work to survive.
Many move home with their parents or have multiple roommates.
It won’t be five years. It’ll be another 50, but eventually, the average family will be struggling in real ways. Our government doesn’t seem interested in helping, so we’ll have a significant portion of our population angry, struggling, and (seemingly) helpless.
Considering the demographic changes and the unfettered infiltration of illegal immigrants into the country, and yeah, I worry about my future grandchildren’s futures.
But all in all, I agree that we’re similar to Rome. Slow disintegration until we’ll be a blurb in history books. And similar to Rome’s end, most won’t really know what happened to us. They’ll learn about the American empire but not enough room in the textbooks to explain our demise.

Civilizational collapse is a process. Decade after decade we slowly circle the drain.
Yep. Rome depended on her conquered territories to supply the city with imports of food, especially commodities from those lush fertile lands of North Africa. The arrival of supplies was met with great celebration and parade. The horns of the oxen pulling wagons laden with foodstuffs (grapes, grain, olive oil etc) were decorated with wreaths. There was a great celebration.
When the marauding hordes of barbarian tribes defeated the Roman legions in a series of battles, even to the point of cutting off incoming supplies from North Africa, Rome was destined for kaput.
Follow the decline of Rome and you will see how America will be destroyed. But instead of bands of barbarian tribes, America is facing thousands of illegal aliens intermingled with Cartel operatives surging across our southern border.
Collapsing birth rates, moral decline, corrupt politicians, and surging waves of illegal aliens. There's your decline America.

By 100 AD Rome had suffered through really bad emperors. Nero, Caligula and others. Vespasion was able to reform it but it really is not until Trajan became emperor did Rome stabilize and begin to flourish again.
Trajan was an outsider from Spain.

"That can't happen here."
Me 15 years ago.. It's happening now.
Back then I thought we had 50-100 years before the country was unrecognizable. But I look at western Europe and see that the police state here is rapidly advancing and think that timetable was off quite a bit.
From incrementalism to rapid snowball. Once the slow creep is noticable it has to be sped up.
