I agree with you STL, but things are happening at the border, concerning the wall, no where near a completed wall, but movement in the right direction, with some funding from our armed services!!

You can't dispute jobs brought back, can't dispute the stock market, can't dispute, many child traffickers put in jail, and that's just in a couple of years and a couple of months, very productive in my eyes !! What he has done bringing back automobile manufacturing jobs back to the U.S., is really unheard of !!

Is this accurate? I'm sincerely asking.

shite ton of rust belters are pissed about the Ohio plants and he really hasn't done anything to help coal from what I've seen.

Not that he is at fault, he just shouldn't have promised something that is basically unattainable.

The economy truly is rolling but he also has benefited some from the cycle and things starting from rock bottom in 2009.

If that's what you think, than you would think he is going to lose in 2020.

I say it doesn't matter who the dem nominee is on that pathetic list, he will beat anyone on that list !!

I will put my $$$ on him winning 2020, for anyone that thinks he will lose !!

Why do people act like this defines Trump? The guy has been a figure in this country for 40 years, and well before the Apprentice

The auto market is changing to CUV's versus cars. Not much the Prez can do about that.

I haven't looked into it much, but I wouldn't be surprised to see something else built in those plants. It takes time though. Complete change overs can take a year.

The 2016 GOP field only appears weak because Jeb was the presumptive nominee. I was pretty happy with most of the candidates. Kasich and Jeb were outliers.

I kind of felt the same way. There were several that I would have no trouble voting for.

As of today, I agree. And, I think events are going to unfurl over the next 19 months which will only serve to greatly enhance Trump's chances for reelection.

Check the stock market trend on the day he won! It was tanking over fears of the country being ran like a whore-house by madame Clinton. It rocketed up when Trump won.

GM Invests $300 Million In Michigan

Asian automakers have invested billions in U.S. assembly plants.

Trump’s fighting for Michigan. Who’s fighting for Windsor?

quote:

NAFTA lacked the crucial safeguards of the auto pact. As long as cars were made somewhere in North America, they could avoid tariffs in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. There was no linkage of national sales to national production. Over time, the auto companies behaved perfectly rationally. They moved more and more of their production from Canada and the U.S. to low-wage Mexico.

quote:

And then along came Donald Trump.

quote:

the U.S. president made it clear that he wanted the auto companies to give American workers precedence over all others

quote:

Fiat Chrysler announced in February that it plans to spend $4.5 billion retooling five auto plants in Michigan.

quote:

Not that he is at fault, he just shouldn't have promised something that Osama didn't want to do.
