I had a professor that told us taxation was legalized theft. He was right.

This country did just fine for 137 years without a federal income tax. 1913 the 16th Amendment was ratified allowing the federal government to levy income tax; only 108 years ago. Look how screwed up this country’s finances are today. Congress uses We The People as an ATM

Here's another one; "we" are not the government.

I'm curious, though, how old were you when you realized taxation is theft?

For me, it was early 30's.

I’d say around 24 it started dawning on me. That’s when I had my first post college big boy job and my first paycheck was a shock. They took a lot.

I justified it though as I was pretty liberal then. Now at 43 and seeing all the bullshite they are using our money on just pisses me off. They can waste our money because they have zero consequences. We work too damn hard to have our money spent on abortion or cutting off some Paki’s dick so he can live “his truth”

We are all slaves to the government just to pay taxes. And then the US Government has the nerve to send our tax dollars to other countries as aid. It's bullshite.

And to think there is a very small percentage of people alive who witnessed that! Crazy!

That being said...I don't mind taxes as long as there is transparency on where the taxes are going. I believe taxes are necessary for the greater livelihood of our citizens. Where I think the problem lies is power hungry government officials who have taken advantage of that system. Hence the basis of your post. It's like telling a group of people, "if you all pay $5 into this bucket everyone will have access to this." But what the group of people aren't told is that they would get the same access if they only paid $3! Where's that extra $2 a head going?...good ol Uncle Sam. No taxation without representation should be coincided with no taxation without full transparency. They give us breadcrumbs of transparency with the left hand to distract from the theft they're doing with the right hand.

And they’re allowed to take your money and spend it however they want without telling you exactly where your tax dollars went.

If it involves a public right its not theft generally speaking. You know like running a corporation which is a creature of State law. The problem is the progressives have turned everything into a non-private right, or more like attempt to hide what a public right and Private Right is.

Some don't pay taxes but they sure do reap benefits from us paying them.
