Out of context, this is the first accurate statement re: tarriffs you've posted in a long time.

ALL of Trump's tariffs have been about protectionism until this one.

It is about the trade barriers which our European brethren refuse to eliminate

That is BS and is clearly BS. Trump was quite willing to simply move on had the Turks took his deal to let the preacher go in exchange for letting them cheat on Iranian sanctions.

I don't understand at all why you are not skeptical of Ross's 100% denial rate on exclusions sought by US companies that compete with NuCor and US Steel to tariffs.

There are other factors involved in dealing with the Turks I admit but there is no question that the tool used to deal with the Turk was very convenient for Ross given the Turks have a $500 million dollar order for pipeline steel Nucor and US Steel would like to steal.

Indeed, every single one of them are designed to eliminate it. Why do you love anti-US tariffs so much?

Japanese and European carmakers are enjoying these tariffs. They are the winners so far.

So, he is teaching them the art of the deal... play stupid games and you win stupid prizes, especially when you are in no position to make any type of demands and an olive branch was extended...

A mindless Trumpkin such as yourself should be calling for Trump to fire Ross. If Ross continues his blatant favoritism toward NuCor and US Steel over other US companies in regards to these tariffs Trump is going to get a lot of political heat.

NuCor and US Steel have commented against 1600 request for tariff exclusions from US steel users and every single one of the exclusion request have been denied by Ross's agency. Many of the request were for exclusions on goods that neither company even make.

I suspect members of Congress have heard from their constituents that were denied these exclusions.

Because a couple of their Execs and Directors are my neighbors, baw. That's why. That's the only reason.

Just trying to take this down to your level, IBF.

Your fricking fixation to protect your shitty Chinese importing mythical company in no way equates to pitchforks at the doors of Congress.

Unfortunately that is the level it is on.

Ross steals from investors. The guy even steels the sweet n low when he dines out.

If you support Trump you should want the guy gone.

quote:

As the former “King of Bankruptcy” and a billionaire investor, Secretary of Commerce Wilbur Ross likes a sweet deal. That apparently includes five-finger discounts on Sweet N’ Low, according to a new Forbes report.

Ross, whom Forbes estimates to be worth $700 million, would steal the artificial sweetener, which sells for about $10 for 500 packets, from restaurants so he didn’t have to buy them himself, two of his former colleagues told Forbes. But Ross’ transgressions also allegedly extend to large-scale gifting: He may have stolen or “wrongly siphoned” as much as $120 million over the course of his career, according 21 people who knew Ross, lawsuits, and even an SEC fine.

Well if we must do something to interfere with the interworking of another country we could have simply closed our air base there.
