I've seen the Malcolm X movie with Denzel and he actually did a very good job playing X. Denzel is a great actor.

That movie was originally done with Scott Glen playing the part of Creasy. It was based more on the book, and the story took place in Italy, back when kidnapping was a major business there. That was a great book.
