You and Pinecone need to know your roles, and shut your mouths.
Women

Hey Geauxxx,
Why did the feminist cross the road?
Why did the feminist cross the road?

To whine about something I guess.

I've always heard they give the best head.

False. Most I know are mid 50'ish and live in a very small bubble. They seem pretty happy doing social work.

Yes. But this makes them happy and validates their beliefs.

Pretty sure it was because she wanted to come tell me how my husband oppresses me by supporting my choice to stay home, take care of our house and kids, and work to turn a home craft into a small business without the unnecessary burden of "job lock".
She would probably tell me I suffer from Stockholm syndrome. She would likely think I'm not a good role model for young women because I didn't park my kids in daycare while I pursued a "career". She would scoff at the notion that I actually enjoy doing things to make my husband happy because she wouldn't understand that our marriage is amazing because we value each others happiness. I bet she would hate my "submissive" approach to large purchases - never mind that its a practical position rather than submissive.
If feminism were still about equality -I'd support it.
If feminism valued women who chose to pursue traditional roles as much as women who chose to work- I'd support it.
I don't think all feminists would hate me for my choices. I think if Camille Paglia crossed the road it would be to come hangout in my kitchen and have coffee. We would probably get along just fine.

Shame on you and shame on Vols.

I agree with all of this. There is nothing wrong with being a stay at home mother.
I work because I have to. But I can still come home and cook dinner and not act like the world is ending.

Men and women shouldn't be treated equally because we are not equal.
Posted on 9/14/14 at 1:03 pm to MSCoastTigerGirl
Maybe different would have been a better choice. We are different physically, obviously, and we think different. Our minds and bodies are suited to different tasks. Trying to be "equal" just goes against science. It's as backwards as believing Jesus walked with dinosaurs.

I want to be treated as an equal in the eyes of the law.
Are men and women equal in all ways? No.
Otherwise its in my best interest to be treated differently.
Like Coastie said up thread- I like being treated like a lady.

I can't argue with that at all.
You're exactly right, IMO.
Like I said earlier, I believe in gender roles.
Eta:
When I refer to equality, i mean HAVING THE RIGHT TO VOTE, drive, have a checking acct, etc. But I love being treated like a lady. Chivalry is one of the most attractive features in a man. That's why I don't date Yankees.

The original feminists have won. The new feminists are just screechers.

Funny, I would have said this about most of the poliboard, based on what I see here.

Also about this guy.
Point is, all I know about you all, and him, is what I see here. And joyless/bitter seems pretty apt most of the time. But I don't know you, and that impression about your IRL side may be all wrong. Just like you don't know the people you call "feminists," and what they are like IRL.

So do I, unfortunately, the law is slanted extremely heavily in the favor of women.
