We shouldn't "need" term limits. Primary incumbents every other election and you'd never have to have term limits.

It's not term limits, it's the voters.

Yeah, let's just ignore all the laws and rules that allow legislators to amass a war chest that makes them virtually unbeatable. Lobbyist money, investment money, political action committees, not to mention outright bribes. Has the American people ever been allowed to vote on such things? No? Much like term limits, right? If voting really made a difference, they wouldn't let us do it either.

In general every incumbent has a great chance of being reelected if they haven't caused any issues with the DC Uniparty......incumbents get the money from the big donors, and favorable media coverage. There are conditions to get the aforementioned perks of being an incumbent.

This ^^^^ is dependent on playing by the DC Uniparty's unwritten rules, behaving themselves and minimizing their criticism of the corrupt system, term limits would at least force the skunks out of office.

There would also have to be term limits for the unelected bureaucracy that actually runs everything as well, or we would be making them more powerful than our elected representatives, if they aren't already.

I agree certain levels of the Bureaucratic State system need to have employment limits, maybe 20 years and you're done holding any leadership positions in the Bureaucratic State system.
