Given the ineffectiveness of this Republican congress I'm gonna say not too long.

you're defending 10 senate seats in states trump won many by double digits.

your party has so alienated white voters that voting for a democrat simply isn't an option in most states.

in 2016 for the first time the democrat received less than 40% of the white vote nationally.

your party's dying. obama got 39% more importantly he over performed that average in the mid west by 3-5 points she didn't she performed right at her national average in the mid west of 37%.

it's over moron and by 2018 even you'll know it.

I think Moore is so controversial that a well-funded, moderate Dem candidate could pull off the win.

Doug Jones isn't a moderate,though.

He's against legislation that bars abortion after 20 weeks.

Pro Obamacare.

Believes in a "living wage".

Wants to increase wealth transfers to the poor.

And his website ignores ANTIFA violence and any black on white hate crimes but makes a point of mentioning violence against liberals and minorities.

As soon as Moore starts running ads on these things, especially abortion, its over ,Jones independent voter support will dissapear.

I've been reading comments about Doug Jones on a local FB group. There are a few women who really, honest to God, believe Jones is gonna beat Moore. I think they are stuck in an AL.com bubble. They don't understand that most of the voters in this state aren't fans of Obamacare or abortion. I believe those two issues will sink his chances of winning.
I mean I guess it's possible but it's highly unlikely.

1. Only the DNC is having trouble raising cash. The Dem Senate and House campaigns are awash in cash.

2. It is utterly throwing money away to try and help Doug Jones in alabamastan. He is too rational for that irrational electorate.

3. Dems should have only three goals for 2018: (a) spend heavily on House seats especially House seats held by Repubs in districts HRC won plus Repub seats in CA, FL, IL, WI etc that are close. (b) defend Dem Senate incumbemnts up in states Trump carried. ansd (c) win back governorships and legislative seats in states like WI, MI, OH, MO, NV and others.

fresh polling showed Doug Jones competitive

The poll showed him within 4 points, but that could be an anomaly. I'd want to see a few more polls like that before investing in Doug Jones.

Anyways -- Moore is a pretty bad candidate. Seems like Jones could potentially win if he runs a non-controversial campaign. Basically just keep your head down and count on Moore f'ing it up. The Alabama GOP has been very good at that lately.

it was 6 with a margin of error of +/- 4 that means he could be up 2 or he could be up 10 and it over polled women by nearly 10 points. half of the polls sample was in Birmingham trump carried shelby county but she carried jefferson.

they had it within 4-6 in the primary.

LINK

trump carried the state by nearly 30 points.

this time the phony polling will work!

That's how I feel about it. If I have to choose, I'd rather the Westboro Baptist Church than Jerry Falwell. In the south, those are your choices.
