This is like being upset because your credit card company has raised your credit limit.

I mean. Not really..
It's like being upset because the credit card company raised your already maxed out teenagers limit, knowing that you'll have to bail them out eventually.

It had to be done, of course. And every prez does it. but still it's not the most trivial thing to be upset about.. raising the debt limit and the national debt rising go hand in hand.
