Eventually, in my (late) lifetime I'm thinking, we will no longer have that "familial" connection to Europe. Their threat is not from outside but from within. Their "leaders" are destroying themselves on purpose with evil intent. We will not be "defending" Europe in the future, but fighting them.

Actually why somehow finding a way to become "friendly" and/or "allied" with Russia could benifit us in the future as we fight muslim run Europe.

If things don't change in Europe over the next 4 yrs, hopefully it can continue past Trump but can't trust that, a muslim controlled Europe with nukes is very very VERY probable. Like a HARD turn is needed at this point. Only fools don't think they will not use this to their benefit against us.
