A little nuanced, but in watching the replay of the portion of hearing yesterday when Gaetz cuts in to scold Goldman, Jerry must have been dozing off again as dim counsel Berke has to nudge the Niddler and instruct him to start gaeveling Gaetz out.

start watching around 1:12

dims sure do love them some lawfare.

Maybe there was a little more truth to Gaetz's line about whether Goldman wished he had donated a little more so that he could be doing more questioning and less answering.

The swamp is wide.

The state is deep.

And never forget that the MSM is just as much a dweller of that swamp.

Took me a while to find a link to that angle, which appears to have been scrubbed from as many sites, including Fox and C-Span.

I don't understand why counsel for congressmen is allowed in the hearings at all. Let them advise congressmen outside the chamber. But once inside, it should only be elected officials. If the congressmen aren't smart enough to remember what counsel told them and question witnesses on their own, then that is on them and the fools that elected them.

The only counsel allowed in chambers should be those for the people being questioned.

I’m pretty sure Andrew Weissman’s consulting’s is apparent somewhere.

I agree, and especially at the HJC. These are supposed to be the legal scholars of the House. The pubs have stacked their ranks accordingly. The hearings are pretty much worthless up until the 5 minute questioning sessions when the fireworks begin.

If I was a dim, I would be pissed at my representative for delegating their duty in such fashion, but I am sure there is precedent from the Nixon proceedings to have such optics.

The legal counsel was like a german shepard on high alert with his head swivelling back and forth like that. If he hadn't nudged Nadler I don't think he would have done anything at all.
