I see the big thing as the Dem's wanting to tie this presidential election to the Obama administration since Uncle Joe was his VP. Apart from that, it makes absolutely no sense. (Unless the two parties are actually in cahoots with each other, which really isn't very far fetched considering how the country operates no matter who is in charge.)
