So awesome.
This post made my day.

It’s the truth.

I grew up a Catholic, and I became completely dissatisfied with all of it around 15.

But I legit had a life/moral saving at 18 because of a Sermon I happened to walk in on a whim.

It forever changed my life. Seems simplistic, but TD ain’t for details.

I know this much......I will listen to what the Pope says, but doesn’t mean I have to agree.

My faith is proven and it’s with God

That actually seems wrong, but perhaps.

I’m not really a semantics guy. More just the meat, not the fluff

Don’t want to hijack the thread, but I was serious.
You have a story that’s worth hearing.
Young people, in particular, would benefit from your wisdom and experience.
They need to [figuratively] sit at the feet of those who’ve “been there.”

I don't belong to any church yet I have faith. However, I do not ever look down on my friends or my own father, who is ordained, for belonging to a church.

To me it is a personal experience that no brick and mortar building with golden statues and Crucifixes will make me more of a believer.

Long time ago. Will not get into details about it on a message board. Only two people know the details.

However, my point is the OP is wrong. The pope (not capitalizing) is not my Savior. He is just a man, elected by many corrupt men.

Again, I will listen to his words, but I oppose what he says.

Faith to me, IMO, is with God. That’s how I roll these days

His teachings are easy to read, but hard to follow.

And the Spirit said to Philip, “Go up and join this chariot.” So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and asked, “Do you understand what you are reading?” And he said. “How can I, unless some one guides me?” And he invited Philip to come up and sit with him. - Acts 8
